At Bear Construction, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, integrity, and excellence in all areas of construction; Founded by Ashley Fellows, Joe Palmowski and Niamh Alexander. For the past 7 years, we have worked closely together, blending our skills and expertise to deliver exceptional results on every project.

Ash, a Quantity Surveyor by trade, brings a wealth of knowledge in project management and client relations, ensuring that each build is executed smoothly and meets the highest standards. Joe’s background as a bricklayer, followed by his roles as site manager and contracts manager, gives him a deep understanding of the intricacies of construction. This diverse experience enables us to tackle challenges with confidence and creativity. At Bear Construction, we pride ourselves on our collaborative approach. We believe that teamwork is the key to success, and our shared commitment to quality and safety drives us to exceed client expectations. Whether it’s a residential project or a commercial build, we are dedicated to turning your vision into reality.

Ash decided against attending university as the obvious route to qualification and rather pursued an apprenticeship after his A Levels. By going down this route, this provided Ash with not only the knowledge of how to carry out the role, but also the valuable opportunity to work on site when possible, to grow as a QS and understand the construction element, rather than just from an office perspective!

Joe’s journey is a unique one—before he became a key player in construction, he was a professional jump jockey, travelling and competing around the world. As he began to focus on building a family, he decided to pivot his career, turning his hand to bricklaying. With an unwavering drive to excel, Joe quickly progressed from bricklayer to site manager and ultimately to contracts manager, honing his skills and expanding his knowledge along the way.

Ash’s journey in the construction industry began at a young age, where he developed a passion for the craft and honed his skills alongside his family. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the intricacies of construction management, Ash decided to channel his expertise into building something of his own. Supported by his fiancé Niamh, a dedicated nurse (and part time admin, social media expert, chef and cat mum!) Ash envisioned a company that not only delivers exceptional results but also prioritises customer satisfaction and relationships.

So, Why call it BEAR? This was a family nickname given to Ash from a young age and has symbolic meaning reflected in the company’s core values. It also stands for what we do: Building, Extensions Alterations and Refurbs!

Bear Construction offers a comprehensive range of construction services, catering to diverse needs across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Whether it’s extensions, renovations, or maintenance projects, our team of skilled professionals is equipped to handle every aspect with precision and efficiency.
